Privacy Policy for FlipMind

Last updated: 2026-05-16
Version: 1.0

Short version: FlipMind does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you create in the app — your photos, settings, and gameplay — stays on your device. We have no servers handling your data. This applies to all users, including children.

Photo Content Disclaimer: The photos you upload are stored only on your local device. This App does not upload or analyze any photos.

1. Data Controller & Contact

Controller: Robert Yang (operating under the brand "MyOpen Studio")
Email: support@myopen.app
Website: https://myopen.app/flipmind/

This Privacy Policy applies to FlipMind (“the Service” or “the App”), part of the MyOpen app series created under the CodeTo2050 project.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

2.2 Automatic Data Collection

FlipMind in this version does not collect:

2.3 Photo Library Access

When you choose “Photo Matching” and add a photo, FlipMind asks for permission to read from your photo library. The selected photo is cropped to a square, compressed, and copied into the App's private storage on your device. The original photo in your library is not modified. The copied photo never leaves your device.

You can revoke photo access at any time in your device's system settings; the App will continue to work, but the Photo Matching feature will be unavailable until access is granted.

2.4 Other Permissions

FlipMind in this version does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, notifications, or any other sensitive permissions. If future versions introduce features requiring additional permissions, users will be clearly notified and this Policy will be updated.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Because FlipMind does not collect personal data, no legal basis under GDPR applies to data processing within the App.

If you contact us by email, we process the content of your message on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to user support inquiries).

4. How We Use Your Data

We do not have any personal data to use. We do not profile, target, market to, or sell information about any user.

5. Third-Party Services

FlipMind in this version (v1.0) does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cloud services. Future versions may introduce optional services (for example, payment processing if paid features are added). Any such addition will be clearly disclosed and this Policy will be updated before those features ship.

Distribution platforms — the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — process download and transaction data independently according to their own policies. FlipMind has no control over and no access to that data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

7. Security

Because no personal data leaves your device, security of your in-app data depends on your device's own protections (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, biometric lock). We recommend keeping these enabled.

For email communications, we apply reasonable safeguards, but no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

FlipMind is suitable for children and is intentionally designed to be safe for young players. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or as defined by local laws), because we do not collect personal data from any user at all.

If a child or their parent contacts us by email and shares personal data, the parent may request deletion of those communications at any time.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because the App does not collect personal data, most rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) do not apply. However, if you are located in the EU, the UK, or California, you may still contact us regarding your rights under GDPR or CCPA.

We will respond by confirming that:

For email communications, you may request deletion at any time.

10. Cookies & Tracking

The App does not use:

11. International Data Transfers

Because FlipMind does not collect personal data and does not use third-party data services in this version, no international transfers of your personal data take place through the App.

12. Future Changes to Data Practices

Future versions of the App may introduce optional features that require additional data processing — for example, payment processing or, if ever added, cloud features. Any such changes will be clearly disclosed in a revised Privacy Policy before they take effect, and consent will be requested where required.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be shown in-app when appropriate.
